Delete your account

From the app

Open Breeze, go to Settings, and choose Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm once. There is no second screen, no reason requested, and no offer to keep the account.

What gets deleted

Everything. Specifically:

• Your notes, photos, files, voice notes and calendar entries
• Every location record, including any from past alerts
• Your history of check-ins, requests and alerts
• The contacts you added and their mobile numbers
• Your account and the email address used to sign in

What happens, in order

The order matters. If the erasing step were interrupted for any reason, what remains is meaningless encrypted bytes that no key exists to open.

The private pages used by the people you added stop working immediately. They are not notified.

How long it takes

• Immediately: your content becomes permanently unreadable and every shared page stops working
• Within 30 days: the encrypted data itself is erased from our systems
• Backups: any residual copies expire on their normal cycle and are unreadable in the meantime

Export first, if you want a copy

Deletion cannot be undone, and we cannot recover anything afterwards. If you want a record, export it from the app before you delete. The export is produced on your phone, because it is the only place your content can be read.

If you cannot open the app

If you have lost access to your phone and cannot delete the account yourself, write to support@breezecircles.com from the email address you used to sign in, and ask for the account to be deleted.

We will verify that the request comes from that address, and nothing else about you, because there is nothing else we can check.

If you stop using Breeze

If the app is not opened for 60 days, the history is deleted automatically. A reminder is sent at 50 days.

If someone added you and you want out

You do not have a Breeze account. Use the link you were given and choose to remove yourself, or reply STOP to any text message. See Text messages.
